Kris has started the first lace section of Terra for the March/April KnerdGirl Knits KAL. She's knitting it out of Mountain Colors Bearfoot in the Mountain Twilight colorway on US 6. She conquered the knitting math (converting from worsted to fingering weight). Huzzah! FYI: 268 is not divisible by 11, but 268 - 6 (garter edge) - 20 (stitches outside the 11 stitch repeat) = 22 11 stitch repeats. Knitting math!

Crafting:

Kaity's Belle pattern is out to test knitters.

Brainstorming:

Kaity got some HD Yarns Highlighter sock yarn - super bright rainbow stripey socks will be coming soon!

Kris got her Cookie A April sock club, Dream in Color Everlasting sock, in the Violet Hour color way. The patterns that came with the club were lovely, but the yarn is 100% merino, so it will be something besides socks.

Apocrypha - Geekery:

We went to the Carolina Fiber Fest last weekend in Sanford, NC, and picked up a podiversary prize. Charlie had fun fondling the fiber.

Fuzzy Angora

Merino roving!

Kris also discovered a new app to keep you motivated to be active, Charity Miles. You can be a "sponsored" athlete, and for every mile you cover, Charity Miles will donate between $0.10-$0.25 per mile to a charity of your choice. It measures the time and distance you cover, and also tell you your impact.

Hi to our new kids, Becstarb, raspberrycattgirl, and amcgarrah. Thanks for watching!

Kris caught a Wollmeise update at the Loopy Ewe. She got enough DK in Lobster for a sweater, and a skein of Lacegarn in Belladonna to make another sweater.

The latest kit from Woolgirl's Downtown Abbey Club came this week.  Themed after O'Brien, the lady's maid, it has a pattern for a collared cape, 720 yards of organic merino sport weight yarn, a cigar box, some handmade lavender soap, and WeeOnes Stitch Marker.

Apocrypha - Geekery:

Kaity is all about Rise of the Guardians, she saw the movie last weekend and then bought all three books for her Kindle. The Guardians: Nicholas St. North and the Battle of the Nightmare King; E. Aster Bunnymund and the Warrior Eggs at the Earth's Core!; Toothiana, Queen of the Tooth Fairy Armies.

The Carolina Fiber Fest is this weekend in Sanford, NC.

Amy Herzog has a new book and a new Craftsy class - Knit to Flatter. If you are a garment knitter, you should definitely check them out!

Thanks to DiCat for the gifted pattern. The Mandy's Heart socks are lovely, and I can't wait to knit them!
Hi to our new kid, Iggystar. Thanks for watching, and Happy Birthday!
